Brooklyn's Nover has shot on "Ultimate Fighter"

After getting into scuffles when he was younger, he appeased his parents by taking self-defense classes, but when his interest progressed, he was forced to sneak out of the house to attend his mixed martial arts matches to avoid upsetting his mother. Donald Trump and Affliction to launch new MMA reality series

Donald Trump, Affliction Entertainment and M-1 Global have anounced plans to begin filming a new, ground-breaking MMA reality series called "Fighting Fedor." The show's theme is to find the next Fedor Emelianenko, by creating an elimination tournament between undiscovered MMA talent, with the winner fighting Fedor himself. Fedor is the star of Affliction Entertainment's new Mixed Martial Arts league.

 

 
Versus to air WEC's greatest knockouts

VERSUS will air WEC’s Greatest Knockouts, an hour-long special that features the hardest-hitting knockouts in WEC history on Wednesday, October 1, at 8 p.m. ET/PT.     

The special presentation will feature the top knockouts to date in the WEC organization's history and will include three knockouts from the live WEC event on February 13 when Rob McCullough succumbed to Jamie Varner, Leonard Garcia overpowered Hiroyuki Takaya and Yoshiro Maeda put the beat down to Charlie Valencia.  Also featured in the hour is “The All American” Brian Stann’s knockout over Doug Marshall in March 2008, in which Stann claimed the light heavyweight title and two standouts from 2007 including Brock Larson’s defeat of Kevin Knabjian and Brian Bowles knockout of Marcos Galvao.

  Kimbo Slice and Gina Carano participated in an Open Workout on Sept. 17 at the Legends Mixed Martial Arts Training Center in Los Angeles. Both will appear on CBS on Oct. 4 when the third installment of CBS ELITEXC is waged at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Florida.

 
UFC, Spike TV rally for U.S. troops

 According to a news release, The Ultimate Fighting Championship and Spike TV will put on a three-hour live event on December 10 from Fort Bragg, North Carolina to raise money to build a treatment center for the brave men and women in the United States Armed Forces who have experienced traumatic brain injuries.  The facility is being sponsored, built and equipped by the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.  The announcement was made today by Dana White, UFC President and Kevin Kay, Spike TV President.
