Former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton "Rampage" Jackson was arrested Tuesday afternoon in Costa Mesa, CA on felony charges of evading, hit and run and reckless driving.

According to reports, Jackson fled the scene of an accident while driving his camouflage painted 2008 Ford F-250 truck which is emblazoned with images of himself on both sides of the vehicle.  He then weaved in and out of traffic while being chased by police and caused at least one more collison before stopping.  Jackson was then arrested at gunpoint.

Here is the report according to The Daily Pilot:

“Jackson, the driver of a lifted, gray pick-up truck left crashed cars, shredded tires and sparks in his wake this afternoon when he led police on a short pursuit from the southbound 55 freeway exit onto Newport Boulevard where he hit at least three cars, police said.

The driver hit two cars at 19th Street and Newport Boulevard, then drove away at about 1:13 p.m., Lt. Paul Dondero said. A Costa Mesa police officer saw the driver southbound approaching 17th Street and tried to pull him over, police said. There, he hit at least one more car before continuing to run, now heading south toward the Balboa Peninsula, Dondero said. Some time after that, the truck blew a tire but continued to drive on its rims, Dondero said.

Jackson eventually gave up, pulled over and was arrested, police said. The whole chase lasted about five minutes, Dondero said.”

No one was injured during this and Jackson is being held on $25,000 bond.

Jackson last fought at UFC 86 on July 5 in Las Vegas, NV where he lost his title to Forrest Griffin.  UFC has yet to issue a statement regarding his arrest.

DOH! WTF! Did he really think he could get away with this? He must have taken one too many head shots. Hopefully Dana White will terminate any involvement with this guy. This should be the end of his UCF career. Period. Full Stop.

As far as I know, he was never enrolled there.

BTW drip brain, he's an ultimate fighter, not a dude on a team with an image to uphold. If you think these are good guys, you're brain is cooked.

yeah it was stupid to try and evade police in a truck w your pic on it. BUT rampage is a tough dude and awesome fighter. He will be back. I see a minor set back. Apparently he was having a bad day.

To the person who so pointedly corrected someone for typing UCF instead of UFC...we all make mistakes, typos included. You should check your own mistakes before downing someone else. "you're brain is cooked" should have read YOUR brain is cooked! Chill out
